Introduction

This policy explains how Obu Ihuoma Social Club International collects, uses, and protects the personal information of its members and visitors. We are a private cultural and social institution, and we treat member information with care.

Information we collect

For members, we hold names, honorifics, contact details, professions, business information, and the login credentials issued by the webmaster. For visitors who contact us, we hold only what is submitted through the enquiry form.

How we use information

We use information to operate the members' area, maintain the member and business directories, communicate club matters, and respond to enquiries. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

The member directory

The member directory is private and visible only to logged-in members. We deliberately do not publish a public roster. Business listings are public, but member contact details remain gated to fellow members.

Data retention & security

We keep records only as long as necessary for the club's purposes and apply reasonable safeguards to protect them. Access to the members' area is restricted to accounts created by the webmaster.

Your rights & contact

Members may request access to, correction of, or removal of their information at any time by contacting the Secretary's office through the Contact page.
